Hello, Dolly—Times Two

On August 5, country music legend Dolly Parton will thrill her loyal legion of fans with a rare live performance at Berkeley’s Greek Theatre. And, disappointed Dolly fans who can’t catch the show can rest easy knowing that this Andy Warhol photo of the famed singer will soon be part of a permanent collection at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga.

The Hearst Art Gallery of Saint Mary’s College is one of 11 college museums in California that received a donation of 152 original photographs taken by Warhol from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. The school is planning an exhibit and symposium at Saint Mary’s in 2009.
