Style Tips: Glamour Girl
Become a poolside bombshell with a movie-star inspired swimsuit, a shot of attitude, and a lime, of course! Here are a few tips for the beach, pool, or your backyard sprinkler…
*There is a swimsuit out there for everyone. Just pay close attention to your body type, and highlight what you like about your shape while camouflaging what you don’t.
*If you are long-waisted, you have several options. One, a bikini. Two, a tankini (which covers the tummy), and three, a one piece sized long, so you won’t find discomfort with a suit that rides up.
*Not a curvy girl? No problem. Add fullness to the bust with light padding or ruching (all over gathering) or ruffles. Don’t settle for a top that flattens you more than you want.
*Save the thong for your next trip to Rio. Trust me—no one at your community pool wants to see your cheeks.
*When trying on a swimsuit in the fitting room, move around a lot. Squat down, bend over, etc. Make sure it fits your body in motion.
*Finally, beach cover-ups are a swimsuit’s saving grace. A tied sarong, a skirt, a fitted zip hoodie—there are lots of cute choices, and none of them are spelled M-U-M-U.
